FRACTIONAL BRAND LEADERSHIP.
SOMETIMES THE GAP ISN'T PEOPLEIT’S LEADERSHIP.
You can have talented people, capable agency partners and plenty of marketing activity and still lack clear direction.
Priorities compete. Decisions linger. Teams get pulled in different directions. Important initiatives lose momentum.
That’s where fractional leadership can help. I work as an extension of your team — bringing experienced brand and marketing leadership to set clearer priorities, create alignment and turn decisions into action.

WHEN FRACTIONAL MAKES SENSECOMMON SITUATIONS.
GROWTH & LEAN TEAM
The business has grown beyond its current marketing capabilities, but adding another senior full-time position isn't yet justified.
Marketing has historically been led by an owner, president, sales leader or another executive who no longer has the time — or desire — to manage it day to day.
EXECUTIVE-LED MARKETING
PARTNER COMPLEXITY
You have capable outside partners, but need stronger internal leadership to connect their work, provide direction and make sure everything supports the same priorities.
TOO MANY PRIORITIES
There's no shortage of things marketing could be doing. The challenge is deciding what deserves the team's time, budget and attention.
SENIOR THINKING. PRACTICAL EXECUTION.STRATEGY MATTERS.
SO DOES EXECUTION.
Leadership that doesn't stop at the strategy presentation.
I don't believe marketing leadership should exist at 30,000 feet. Strategy matters — so does what happens on Monday morning when your team tries to execute it.
Depending on what your organization needs, I can help establish priorities, develop marketing plans, guide brand and product initiatives, manage agency partners, support your marketing team, collaborate with sales and leadership and help make the decisions that keep things moving.
Sometimes I'll lead the work. Sometimes I'll help your team think through it. Sometimes I'll challenge whether we should be doing it at all.
The point is to bring experienced judgment into the marketing function and then stay close enough to help turn decisions into execution and progress.
A FLEXIBLE FITBUILT AROUND YOUR BUSINESS NEEDS.
Fractional should actually mean fractional.
Fractional engagements are structured around the needs of your organization, the priorities we're working on and the level of involvement required to make progress.
For one company, that might mean a few focused days each month advising leadership and guiding the marketing team.
For another, it could mean being more deeply embedded in the business — participating in leadership meetings, managing agencies, coaching team members and helping drive major initiatives.
We'll define the role, responsibilities, priorities and cadence together from the start.
And if the need changes, the engagement can change with it.

HOW IT WORKS01
UNDERSTAND
I start by learning the business.
That means understanding your goals, customers, channels, products, team, agency relationships, current marketing activity and the challenges that brought us together in the first place.
02
PRIORITIZE
We identify what matters most.
What's working? What's getting in the way? What deserves more attention? What can wait? And what should we stop doing altogether?
03
I work alongside your team to turn priorities into action.
That could mean leading planning, guiding initiatives, managing agency partners, coaching team members, collaborating with sales or helping leadership make important marketing decisions.
LEAD
04
Fractional leadership shouldn't create dependency.
As we work together, we'll continue evaluating what's working, improving how the team operates and building stronger marketing capabilities inside the organization.
IMPROVE
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSA FEW QUICK ANSWERS.
-
It means you get experienced brand and marketing leadership on a part-time, ongoing basis rather than hiring another full-time employee. We determine the appropriate level of involvement based on your organization, priorities and needs.
-
There isn't one standard model. Some organizations may need a few focused days each month, while others need more regular involvement. We'll establish the cadence and expectations before the engagement begins.
-
Not necessarily.
Some engagements may involve CMO-level strategic responsibilities, while others are closer to senior brand or marketing leadership. I'm less interested in forcing a title onto the relationship than defining the responsibilities your business actually needs.
-
Yes. That's often where fractional leadership creates the most value.
I'm there to strengthen the team, provide direction, help establish priorities and give marketers an experienced resource to work through challenges with — not replace capable people who are already doing good work.
-
Absolutely.
I've spent much of my career on the agency side, so I understand that relationship from both perspectives. I can help establish clearer priorities and briefs, improve communication, make decisions and give agency partners the client-side leadership they need to do their best work.
-
It depends on the work.
I'm hands-on and will take ownership of appropriate planning, leadership and marketing responsibilities. But I'm not trying to replace an entire internal team or agency partner.
When specialized execution is required — creative development, media, web development or other disciplines — I'll work with your existing resources or help determine what additional expertise is needed.
-
Ideally, fractional relationships are ongoing. However, my minimum fractional engagement is 6 months. Shorter engagements would fall under interim marketing support.
We'll establish priorities and expectations upfront and regularly evaluate whether the engagement is still creating value for the business.
-
Most engagements are designed to work remotely, giving me the flexibility to work closely with your team wherever you’re located. I’m also available to travel for kickoff sessions, important meetings, workshops or other moments when being in the room makes a difference.
For engagements that require travel, related travel time and expenses are covered by the client.
